Meath Daily’s Terms, Conditions and Policies.

We reserve the right to change these terms, conditions and policies at any time without warning, please read over them regularly while working with us or using this website.
These Terms, Conditions and Policies are in reference to all contracted work and for use of this website.

The below terms, conditions and policies are legally binding between us and you, the Client. By working with us you are agreeing to all terms, conditions and policies set out below. If you have questions, queries or concerns regarding these terms, conditions and policies contact us.

  • The term ‘Contract’ refers to the contract between us, and you the ‘Client’.
  • Meath Daily is owned and run by Boyne Valley Media. All work carried out and displayed on Meath Daily’s website whether paid or free is a legally binding contract with Boyne Valley Media.
  • Cancellations
    Dates for the shooting of video/photography and production are agreed upon in advance and confirmed by you and us.
    If you have to cancel with us please contact us at least 72 hours before the shoot.
    –We don’t charge for cancellations where free work was to be carried out, but we do reserve the right to refuse subsequent appointments.
    –We reserve the right to refuse service under any circumstances and no reason has to be provided.
    – We reserve the right to remove video content from Meath Daily under any circumstances and without reason.
  • Copyright
    We operate a fair copyright policy. We believe in fair use of artistic and creative works. All copyright vested in the media produced by us shall be assigned to you subject to the following:
    –Payment in full from all outstanding invoices is received from you.
    –You grant us a royalty free license to use all media produced by us for our own promotional purposes such as on our website or otherwise.
    We reserve the right to use the finished production and other media for publicity purposes on the Boyne Valley Media website, our other official websites and Boyne Valley Media social media. We will not release or sell footage to third parties without consent obtained from the you unless the safety of children, animals or vulnerable persons is at risk. All design concepts such as logos, themes, plans, models together with all copyright in any music shall remain ours and is made available to you on license only. You can only use these design concepts and media contained in the work released to you for the purpose agreed upon in our Contract.
    Any music and imagery/footage you provide to be used in the production of your work is assumed you have attained all rights under the law to use. We will not be responsible for any copyright infringement due to the use of any media you did not legally attain rights to use.
    You agree to not take any of our images, logo’s, posters, music, banner ads, software, gifs or any other work created by Boyne Valley Media and display it in print or on the web without our permission.
    We sometimes use third party music/graphics etc in our work, like all media companies, and we own all rights for the media. If you remove clips/music/graphics from our work and use/distribute it we no longer own the work and you do not have legal protection under our copyright licenses. You are fully protected from copyright infringement through our licenses if you distribute our videos in-tact.
  • Creativity and Artistic License
    Unless otherwise discussed and agreed, you accept our decisions on creativity within the product(s) or service(s).
    No two persons ideas are the same and perfection is unattainable. We will do our professional best to produce work you will be happy with but differences of opinion and personal taste can affect perceptions. By working with us you accept our creative decisions on all work carried out, unless specific perimeters have been agreed upon before commencement of work.
    We DO NOT make changes to completed videos unless a mistake or a misrepresentation has occurred that may cause damage. We have extremely tight schedules – we don’t have the time to make cosmetic changes.
    We give all clients the choice to see our finished work before it is released on Meath Daily TV website and social media. If you waiver this right either verbally or written – physically or electronically – and we release a video you’re unhappy with contact us asap. While we accept no responsibility for damage caused in this situation we will endeavor to resolve the problem asap – we want you to be happy with the TV feature.
    We accept no responsibility for any damage caused by a video feature we’ve released where client permission for release was given after viewing said video or the right to viewing before release was waived. This includes but is not exclusive to verbal and written permissions.
    If you opt to view before release, we ask for you or someone you’ve appointed be available to view the finished feature within 24 hours of the video being sent to you. We have extremely busy schedules and tight deadlines.
    We DO NOT take responsibility for the decision of your appointed person if you are not available to view the video.
  • Data Protection
    You the client must ensure that all necessary arrangements have been made with, and permissions obtained from, people and places that may be photographed or videotaped as a result of us supplying our product(s) or service(s), and that such recording is in compliance with Data Protection. You will notify those attending the video/photography shoot that they may be recorded on photography/video and that by attendance they give their consent to being part of the finished production and photography, this includes all minors and parents/guardians, and that they will be featured on Meath Daily TV.
  • Confidentiality
    Unless otherwise agreed we will treat all information gained from or about you during the supply of the product(s) or service(s) as being private and confidential unless the welfare of children, vulnerable people or animals is at risk. You also agree to keep confidential any information gained from or about us during the supply of our product(s) or service(s).

Use of Meath Daily Website
By using our website and services you agree to all of the terms, conditions and policies contained on this website.
You may not take our images, logos, music, video, gifs or any other media created and used by us unless you have gained specific permission to do so. That said, you can link it to your website and social media with credit given to us without permission.

  • Privacy Policy 3rd Party Advertisements
    Meath Daily allows third party advertisement within its web pages. Please be aware that advertisements on our pages do not reflect an endorsement or affiliation with any product, company or service. The ads you see reflect your browsing habits and are not chosen by us.
  • Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to the Meath Daily website or other websites.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to Meath Daily users based on their visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ad Preferences or visiting www.aboutads.info
  • Care and Damage to Client’s Property
    Whilst every care will always be taken in the handling of your property, we accept no responsibility whatsoever for any loss or damage, however caused, or any other loss by unforeseen circumstances whilst we are on your premises or in the custody of them. Liability for such loss or damage will be limited to the replacement cost of the materials or media and in no circumstances will any liability attach to any claim for the value of the content.
  • Fair UsageNo business or for profit organisation may use our community videos for self promotion without expressed consent from us. This includes excessive Social Media usage, featuring of our video on websites or YouTube and internally. Contact us to discuss the terms of usage.
  • Cookie Policy
    How we use Cookies

  • Video Advertisements
    We need to generate revenue, just like any other business. We reserve the right to advertise on any and all of our video coverage without exception, with video or logo advertisements from local or otherwise business and events. You are not permitted to decide or have any influence over the type of advertisements or advert contained within your TV feature.
    By undertaking TV coverage with us you are accepting all of these terms.
