Minister of State Ciaran Cannon to mark Loreto St Michael’s 40th Peace & Social Justice Week!

The week of 26 February, will see Loreto St Michael’s staff and students host their annual  Peace and Social Justice Week. This year is particularly significant in that it marks the 40th consecutive year that St Michael’s has hosted such a week.

Ciaran Cannon, Minister of State at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade with special responsibility for the Diaspora and International Development, will address staff and students on Wednesday of the week.

The purpose of the week is to encourage student awareness and involvement in social justice issues through workshops and informational talks. Loreto St Michael’s ethos places a particular emphasis on social justice education across all student year groups.
